Because Benny Hinn attacks the credibility of the Word of God, I don't think I have any choice in the matter. When he says the Lord has told him an event will happen by a certain date and it doesn't transpire, who is the liar--God or Benny Hinn? If it's Mr. Hinn, then he deserves scorn for disgracing God's holy name. Hinn has repeatedly proved himself to be a compulsive liar.
Am I to trust Benny Hinn's endless stream of extra-biblical teachings just because he claims to have been taken up to heaven to meet Jesus? Paul says we should reject all teachings that conflict with the Bible--even if an angel presents them.
"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed" (Galatians 1:8-9, KJV).
