How many archangels are there in the Bible?
One.
Michael is the only specified
archangel in the Bible. Many
references are made to him in
Scripture. In the following verse
his name is specifically addressed
as the archangel.
"Yet
Michael the archangel, in
contending with the devil, when he
disputed about the body of Moses,
dared not bring against him a
reviling accusation, but said, "The
Lord rebuke you!"
(Jude 1:9).
