How can I witness for Christ?
Romans 10:9 says, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Witnessing is much more than just telling others about Christ. That is definitely part of it, but more than that is "being" a witness for Him. The best way to teach others about Christ and to make them desire to have Jesus in their own lives is to live a consistent, loving, Christ-centered life in front of them. If you show yourself to be a good friend, a good listener, attentive to the needs of those around you and morally upright, then people will be likely to listen to you when you tell them about Christ because they will see that there is something genuinely different about you.
"Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say" (Exodus 4:12).
"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1).
"Fear ye not, neither be afraid; have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? Ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no God: I know not any" (Isaiah 44:8).
"And thou, some of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house" (Ezekiel 2:6).
"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching" (2 Timothy 4:2).
