Why are churches so different? Is one better than the other?
Many options are available because people are all very different and the leadership in the churches varies. A strong biblical background of the pastor and his staff are paramount to running a fruitful ministry. Most important, the personal relationship that these leaders have with the Lord reflects in how the church is managed and how edified the congregation is.
Some churches focus on entertainment, offer sermons that water-down the gospel with weak anecdotes and shallow stories rather than teaching the gospel -- drifting away from the essential teachings of Christ. Too many churchgoers are left with little biblical leadership and are spiritually floundering. When, seeking a home church the first step, as always, is to pray for God's direction and guidance and pay close attention to how the pastor approaches the Scriptures and how he runs the church.
